Pros

Management did a good job in the review process and had a strong people focus. Very good people at the company.

Cons

Bottleneck at the manager level. Some bureaucracy. Corning NY looks down a bit on the CCS division. CCS will definitely be taking a back seat to some of the other divisions for the foreseeable future.

Pros

Salaries and benefits are OK. Once in a while you get in interesting project to work on.

Cons

If you are not a minority of some kind, your professional growth will be no existent, because you do not help in meeting diversity numbers required by the government.

Pros

Small town environment and culture. Everybody knows everybody. Easy commuting.

Cons

people at the research community are very conservative. it is not a good place to work for a highly motivated scientist. Some of the middle-lower level managers are extra cost for the company. They don't have "actual" value other than compile "hands-on scientists" research data and forward to upper level managers.
