Core values are lip service

Pros

Serving the military and families. The company attempts to give top service to the military and their spouses. There remain some good leaders in the organization.

Cons

Corvias stresses three principles- giving back to the community, great service to the customers and being a great place to work (not in those exact words). Reading the comments and Corvias' responses to the negative reviews is enlightening. To say you strive to be a great place to work and not back it up with action makes this an empty statement. The leaders who Corvias once employed were top notch. Corvias trained the managers, and seemed to care. All was good until the Army cuts. The very leaders who Corvias let go were the individuals who made sure the core values were put to work and backed up with action. Middle management is now non-existent and top management is ill equipped to implement this vision. When the money stopped pouring in from the military, the focus of the company changed from one of building the team and organization to chaos, incompetent strategy, lack of vision, and poor communication. Many people who gave their all to the company were let go. The sad thing is the company once embraced the core values. Now the core values are only used and referenced when trying to win new business. Ultimately it could be said the only values that remain are that of money, profits, and self perseverance of the owners and those who are close to them.

We openly admit that Corvias is in a period of transition and we know this can be unsettling for some of our team members. It’s been very difficult to say goodbye to those with whom we have worked very closely but we are obligated to be good stewards of our partners’ resources. We are still very committed to our core principles as well as to our growth so that we can positively impact even more people.

Question the integrity of this company

Pros

Amazing opportunity to give back to our military.

Cons

There is a very unprofessional relationship with the 3 leaders of the organization and their few faithful followers. Loyalty is rewarded, but unfortunately that loyalty comes with a heavy burden of being able to look the other way when people are mistreated or information misrepresented.
