Pros

Competitive pay, compared to other companies for same type of work. Most everyone seems to get along very well, although there seems to be a friendly rivalry between that of the front-end and the morning stockers.

Cons

No, shift differential pay. Working at 4am I should make more than someone who works at 10am. Not much more maybe like 50 cents or a dollar a hour more. Make sure all areas do their fair share of work. It is blatently obvious the amount of work the "night crew" doesn't do, compared to the amount of work the "morning crew" does do.

Pros

Costco has some of the fairest compensation plans in the industry. They pay based upon a set criteria versuses a politically based agenda.

Cons

Expectations are very high. Often there are instances where you feel that you've done an outstanding job or really have gone the extra mile, but in the wholesales eyes you are "just doing your job".

Pros

The best reasons for working at costco are that they offer a great benefit package and they also pay very well compared to the local grocery stores I have previously worked for. They have an open door policy which makes it easy to access the managers if a problem arises.

Cons

The hours that they offer are usually weekends and your hours never stay the same. It makes it hard to stay on a schedule when working for costco. The career opportunities aren't as great as they say they are. If I were to become a supervisor in my department I would only make $1 more an hour. Not worth the headache and doing most of our managers job.
