Pros

Low drama amongst employees, at least in my area.

Cons

There is a re-org AT LEAST once a year and each time there is a mass layoff employees because their positions are moved to the offshore/India team. I worked there for four years and watched it happened over and over until one day the inevitable happened and it was my turn. They do not value their employees at all - they are nothing but a number in a column. I heard that the have taken away the remote/telecommuting option for ALL employees. Existing telecommuters (who have telecommuted for years) were told to move near an office or quit. So they are losing MANY employees. They are losing wonderful people with 15, 20, 25 years of experience all because there is a new bigwig who wanted to change things up. Ridiculous and short sited. Existing employees are so mad that THEY are quitting because they are so disgusted with how the company is treating their loyal employees. And if I may add, their salary is NOT impressive. Even if you manage to survive their, the pay is not very good and their PTO accrual sucks.

Pros

Investment in existing talent helps to encourage performance. Willing to work around your family needs with scheduling on occasion. Great benefits package. Fosters communication between employees and management.

Cons

Still unsure of how to fully utilize existing portfolio of services. There have been quite a few layoffs. Doesn't know how to embrace a remote workforce. They have actually eliminated having a viable remote workforce for professions where it makes sense. Allows procedure to get in the way of making a decision.

Pros

Stable company that seeks to retain employees as projects come and go. A lot of good people employed here. Some management is very helpful and open.

Cons

Very difficult to move from a lower management position up to to mid-level management. Very difficult to terminate non-performing employees. HR is not very helpful and at times almost combative. Upper management does not have a clear understanding what some divisions actually do. No company is perfects as they are made up of people. What separates the "great" companies from the "good" companies is the ability to recognize their shortcomings and the resolution to fix those shortcomings.
