Corporate purgatory

Pros

Large company with some name recognition. Advancement opportunities for the top performers. Good work/life balance.

Cons

Ever since I started working for CoreLogic, it has been endless cycles of layoffs and other money-saving initiatives. Unfortunately, it has come at the expense of product quality and customer relationships. It seems that the stock price is the only thing that interests executive management. Long-term viability of the products are taking a backseat.

Pros

You can learn a lot in a short period of time.

Cons

Very poor decision making at the most senior levels. Unable to attract talent due to inflexible policy regarding work from home. NO WORKING FROM HOME. Most valuable players leaving in droves because the no working from home policy shows this is not a modern company.

Pros

There is generally a good work environment among co-workers. The main problem with the company is not the interaction with co-workers. The problem is the poor leadership of the company.

Cons

Company leadership has repeatedly failed to grow revenue with new products. The balance sheet is maintained by continual cost cutting. It has gone beyond the point where cost cutting improves the company efficiency, and has significantly affected morale. Increased health care costs and ending of work from home option are recent examples of reduction of benefits for employees. Data collection and sale is a big part of the company. When the data becomes more easily available to the public or other companies, the company will be in trouble.
