Pros

Great facility, great benefits, fair pay (market rate), beautiful campus, subsidized cafeteria with good food, great team at the "worker" level.

Cons

Very top heavy management, difficult to get anything done or improve on process because of the multiple levels of management you have to go through. Management is all new because of the split from First American and those new managers tend to hire those people they have worked with at other companies and make the more tenured employees miserable so they can replace them with those people. Lots of cliques, like being back in high school, it's a popularity contest, no recognition for a job well done, just if everyone likes you.

Pros

Great health benefits and plenty of engagement activities at the Dallas campus

Cons

No defined growth pathways for promotions or movement to other departments, managers said they “don’t do raises here,” even for employees who complete advanced degrees while working full time, extremely high expectations for call volume of clients, etc

Pros

No pros to contribute for Cotality.

Cons

Working at Cotality as an instructional designer has been a challenging experience, primarily due to the lack of support and resources. The company seems to prioritize quantity over quality, often leading to overwhelming workloads without providing adequate support or tools to complete tasks effectively. This lack of resources makes it difficult to innovate or create engaging learning materials. The expectations at Cotality are often unrealistic. There is constant pressure to meet tight deadlines, which can be stressful and lead to burnout. The management does not seem to understand the time and effort required to create high-quality instructional content, resulting in rushed projects and a decline in overall quality. Communication within the company is another significant issue. There is a noticeable disconnect between different departments, which leads to confusion and misalignment in project goals. This lack of clear communication often results in last-minute changes and additional work, further exacerbating the already high-stress environment. Working as an instructional designer at Cotality presents several challenges, including insufficient support, unrealistic expectations, poor communication, and limited career growth opportunities. For those seeking a supportive and rewarding work environment, it may be worth considering other options.
