Pros

If you do your job and not play on your phone/computer or get mixed up in the drama you can quickly move up. I still hold the same title as when I started a year ago but I have gotten the opportunity to go to many trainings (fully paid for) because I have shown interest and worked hard. I will be able to apply for a position within the next year that pays about $8 more an hour than I currently get paid.

Cons

I don't have any complaints about the company as a whole

Pros

I have worked at CHS for more than 10 years. This position has opened my eyes to the buisness/financial side of nursing. Healthcare is always changing and our leadership stays in tune to these changes to keep us a head of the "game." I feel our CM leadership is supportive and willing to listen to our ideas to make things better. They have really tried to make some positive changes.

Cons

The yearly merit increases need to be aligned with the cost of living changes. This is a very difficult job and only the strong can be successful. We try to be advocates for our patients, encourage physicians to utilize the hospital resources appropriately and follow directions from Sr leadership which sometimes has misaligned expectations.

Pros

Co-workers and faith based organization.

Cons

$20 gift card is the only bonus in 9+ years, 2% max raise yearly IF we got one for the year, overall feeling of gloom and doom working for this company, in Texas but most decisions for equipment, policies&procedures, etc.. are made in California
