Pros

Great company to work for. Best experience ever with all my previous departments, management and co workers from San Diego, Phoenix, Omaha, Virginia & Atlanta. Great benefits, and Most all leaders with Leadership experience & qualities know how to Lead Teams to success.

Cons

Once new manager was hired at the Atlanta location, he began to target me as a result from correcting him 3 xs for providing stakeholders miss-information. Instead of apologizing, he took this as a threat. He started imposing actions, no one else on the team had to do but unfairly targeted me knowing I would fail. As a Victim of Domestic Violence and survivor I suffered from short term memory loss which is a legal disability. In a career spanning almost 20 years, never having a discipline. yet for missing 2 daily reports he wanted me fired. He did not want my Doctor note. This is unheard of. especially to someone highly awarded & decorated both internally & externally. Complaint to HR was ignored & to Ethics line went unanswered.

Pros

Good Health Care plan Great benefits if you are in senior management

Cons

No longer employee friendly - employees now considered necessary evil rather than company assets. Company is actively removing benefits for permanent employees including eliminating pensions and cutting compensation of current employees. If you are in technology, there is little hope of career advancement. Layoffs every 1-2 years.

Pros

Large organization, nice campus, competitive pay, long term incentive plan.

Cons

Constant downsizing and restructuring. Unfortunately, the cable industry is being hit hard by cord cutting and Cox Communications is slow to react. Other cable companies are much faster about integrating new products and services and strategies. Cox used to have a family feel when it came to treatment of employees. -Those days are gone forever.
