      Lack of Job focus. I am a tech support agent, When I got this job, it was not made important that I would have to sell, but when I'm graded on performance pertaining to my job My stats are excellent.

      Pros

      Tuition reimbursement, benefits, PTO. I had a good run at Cox but due to culture changes the pros have been diminished to only a couple things.

      Cons

      Poor management, poor culture, dictatorship, lack of opportunity, "Good ol boy network." Employees not valued or respected, just a number. Pay is way below market (CenturyLink).

      Pros

      I was a full time employee for over a decade. Very good pay, way above other local companies for the same position. Very good benefits and lots of time off.

      Cons

      Continuously promoted non-qualified people into positions above their head in the name of "diversity." This happened from the very top down to starter positions. After lots of failing upper corporate management has to step in and clean up the mess... constantly. Local management plays favorites across the board which feeds into the diversity mess. Constant downsizing and being told half-truths by upper management about job safety can get depressing. After being passed over for a third time for a job in favor of being "diverse" by hiring non-qualified people with no degree or experience in the job I left the company.
