      Great Benefits. Generally speaking, employees are treated very well.

      Cons

      As company has grown, bureaucracy and administrative overhead rule the day.

      Stay far away from this runaway ship!

      Pros

      Reduced rate cable/internet services and a fair benefits package are the only redeeming qualities left at this organization.

      Cons

      Unethical management from the top down. Business decisions are often based on who the decision maker is in bed with. Mediocrity is rewarded and promoted. "Cox Values" and other catch phrases are used by all levels of management but their actions rarely conform to the "values" they spew. Not a results oriented company, ridiculous procedures are more important than results. Two good examples are their IT and Travel departments. Employees are viewed as a necessary yet expendable nuisance.

      Pros

      Decent salary bands and a great bonus structure. They are privately held which makes a huge difference for employees. They do a lot of great environmental work and put their money where their mouth is when it comes to that. Their businesses are well diversified which offers a lot of career mobility as well.

      Cons

      It’s a boys club and the internal politics and posturing are like nothing I’ve seen before. The emphasis on employee retention has resulted in a lot of unqualified people being in senior positions.
