Pros

Benefits were good Cox Corporate cares about its employees and made a lot of great decisions related to WFH options Creative work is excellent and clients are varied and interesting

Cons

Management treats mid-level employees and associates like personal assistants. Education and experience is ignored and only the ideas of certain teams are valued and recognized. Diversity is nearly non-existent and certainly not celebrated. Outdated slurs and inappropriate comments appear in meetings and emails. There is no emphasis on time or project management, from top leadership down. Directors were routinely late to meetings and submissions, forcing long hours, nights, and weekends. Work that was done on time during business hours was rarely acknowledged. This produced an environment of lopsided work/life balance while a lot of lip service was dedicated to it. There is not enough budget for training and continuing education for everyone so only certain teams are approved to take classes and attend conferences. There was a large exodus in Q4 of 2020 and Q1 of 2021 as the workloads and expectations continued to widen. When employees left, the narrative was that they weren't being team players and that they didn't want to learn new skills to help the company. When, in reality, people were leaving because they were being asked to perform work that was beyond the scope of their education, experience, and interest.
