nice open office environment; many dedicated people are willing to work extra miles to help the company succeed in a declining business

Cons

Most senior leaders are nice people, but the Crane Co. operations driven culture added too much burden on employees. too much process improvement activities that do not create value. many silos with conflicting KPIs.

Get everything in writing from management. There is a lot of "I never said that" or "you misunderstood."

Pros

Salary and benefits are excellent. Perks such as free coffee, lunches and snacks are common as well as free gym and fitness classes.

Cons

You can either adapt to the culture or you cannot. It is that simple. There is a pervasive "laissez faire" policy that cannot be over come. Don't try to get things done on your schedule as things will happen when they happen. Very limited sense of urgency.
