Pros

Great product and a dedicated team that help kids

Cons

CEO is horrible to work with. At first, I could do no wrong. Then she flip flopped and had her cronies work with me. She does not know the business and when she is at work, does nothing. No vision and No skill...Worst experience ever.

Pros

Your coworkers are sweet, nice people. Working at a clinic-not the corporate office- might be pleasant.

Cons

I feel truly awful for anyone working here, they are all miserable. Management is the worst. Don't get me wrong, they will smile and act nice to your face, but if you could only see they way they are behind closed doors! It takes a while to get clued in, because they're good at faking "nice" but you start to see their actions speak louder than words. In private they will come right out and say it, they don't care. They do not care at all about their employees, or even the patients. It's all about the money. It didn't used to be this way- the original owner was amazing and loved her staff & patients and treated everyone with respect but ever since she sold the company to investors and she retired, it has been a complete change in priorities. I have never before worked in an office where it is just typical day for employees to be crying at their desks!! Because they are treated like garbage. I would not wish this horrible place on anyone. They will assign you more work than humanly possible and then ask you why it's not completed, and they will judge your every move. Don't you dare to make suggestions as to how to make improvements, or your name is on a list. Get ready for mandatory overtime, no excuses. Except - some people don't have to do it, but others do and it's none of your business why. The environment is so utterly negative. There's no positivity, and the managers have no desire to help the staff succeed. This crazy place still gives me nightmares.

Ideal specialty practice area for OT/PT

Pros

I consider myself lucky to have found Cranial Technologies after relocating to the area nearly 2 years ago. I have been an Occupational Therapist for over 19 years, with most of my experience in the area of Pediatrics. This is definitely an area of specialty practice. I feel my background in peds helped, but the training I received on the job was priceless. Cranial Tech provides 2 weeks of intense training followed by supervised training once you are back in your home clinic. The Clinical Support that the company provides its clinicians is top notch. The Clinical Support team provides full time support via phone and technology for each clinic, nationwide. This ensures every clinician, no matter what their level of expertise, has the top level support on the clinical side. By far, the best part of my job is the babies and families I get to work with every day. Often times families come to me with a hundred questions, never hearing the word "plagiocephaly" before. I provide them with sound education and information, talk about their baby's head shape and make a valid recommendation. I make my recommendations to treat or not to treat based on the baby's head shape. Nothing else. I truly enjoy watching the baby grow and seeing the obvious change and progress from day one to graduation! As far as management, I have a wonderful manager that is in my clinic on a monthly basis. She is here to teach us, bring us new information and also to learn from us about what is happening in our clinic. She is available to me all the time and I know I can call her with any concern I may have. I find it very assuring knowing that level of management is available to me no matter what. On a day to day basis, our clinic has an Operations Administrator that handles the function of the clinic. This administrator is competent to handle everything on the non-clinical side and she is definitely my go-to person. I find the working environment here at Cranial Tech to be a positive one. Because it is filled with babies and their families, it tends to be upbeat and busy. The people I work with are here because they want to help families. The teamwork amazes me, and I am reminded how important it is that the team work together to ensure successful treatment for each baby. Cranial Tech encourages us to grow as clinicians. They are often providing continuing education via webinars, or communicating important clinical information as it is pertinent. I like that we are kept in the loop of the technology of the DOC band and the actual technology we use (it is amazing!).

Cons

The one con I can point out is that our HR department is small. At times, there can be a delay in receiving information back and forth.
