Pros

Location Benefits Founders and leadership are genuine people Fun events Everyone has heard of us Great engineering and product teams Great for 9-5 types Good job for someone just out of school

Cons

Inexperience at high levels Heavy politics, a lot more than regular Avoid brand-Pr-communications and finance team Employees get solicited for good reviews but nothing gets fixed Doesn't have a great reputation in bay area as a tech company Company values don't matter

Great culture. Less than impressive team.

Pros

Credit Karma is a really fun place to work and generally has great camaraderie. The company prioritizes balance, health and community among its employees. The mission is generally sound, although the business model is a bit questionable.

Cons

There are a lot of smart people at Credit Karma. A lot. There is not a lot of skill nor experience. Too many people in important roles have never worked anywhere else, and this has really begun to impact operations, morale and progress. The smart, skilled people are moving on. The smart, unskilled, inexperienced are staying, because they don't have anywhere to go. You do the math.

Pros

Thoughtful executives who aren't just trying to make a buck; they're trying to build a sustainable business that changes the financial industry. Diverse and inclusive culture. No A*holes. Sensible work hours. Everyone seems to be focused in the same direction.

Cons

There are some scaling pains and tough decisions to make sometimes that affect people.
