Pros

Beside free snack, I can't recall any other.

Cons

In platform engineering side. Leadership are pretty selfish, no vision at all just group of political person, consistent moving goal. your manager will never trust you, they will go behind your back, they would not willing to set you up for success, even they said they will.

Pros

Amazing culture of truly smart, savvy, helpful, caring people. Excellent work-life balance Everyone is treated the same and allowed to be themselves. Opinions matter and the temperature is taken twice a year so see how everyone is feeling. Results are taken very seriously all the way to the top and changes are made as appropriate. Good pay. Everyone with your title and at your level makes the same amount. Increases happen via market true-ups if/when applicable (they never go down) or when you’re promoted to the next level. The company does everything it can to avoid layoffs, including redeploying people into other jobs at the company whenever possible. Fantastic events (ie. field day, happy hours, holiday party) Free coffee and chai bar onsite Well stocked snacks and beverages. Nice interior office space Very passionate people who really believe in their product and care deeply about their members (customers). Opportunities to learn new things. Owned by Intuit.

Cons

Mandatory attendance three days a week in the office, in Oakland. This is tracked and taken very seriously. Downtown Oakland! Two large companies (including Clorox, which is right across the street from CK) have advised their employees not to go out of the office for safety reasons. There was a shooting right in front of the office building. Cars parked on the street get broken into and people are mugged all the time. Extremely meeting-heavy environment, giving people little time for actual work. The higher you go, the worse it gets. Owned by Intuit.
