Company wants to do good, but approach is wrong

- Business outlook is good, positive feedback from our members - transparent communication from ECs - great work/life balance - lots of opportunities, up to you to get them - great programs for continued education - convenient office location

Cons

- lots of low hanging fruit that should be addressed but not, because new ventures are prioritized - company values quick win and progress over perfection: sounds positive, but this amounts to tech debt and unwillingness to bring new technology where it makes more sense - below market pay and pretty closed fisted with equity - hard to get any with the signing offer, and no stock refreshers - 401k matching is vested, gym subsidy virtually nonexistent - Doesn't promote within, and seeks middle / upper management from external, whose first objective is to make a name for themselves, which results in bad uniformed decisions

- Free snacks - Good perks - CEO seems like an awesome guy who cares about the employees - Some teams have a inclusive, warm culture, most don't though

Cons

- Very political. Senior managers are more concerned with pleasing other managers instead of supporting the needs of their teams. - Poor management has lead to a lot of promising talent leaving - Real lack of career development, with management more concerned with people filling necessary roles

Problem with departmental infighting and "too many cooks in the kitchen" - but no knows what's going on!

*Nice office and location is ideal in downtown area. *Snacks are great and office has good layout. *Company is trying to grow outside of SFHQ.

Cons

*Too much back-stabbing politics - people who don't have "Manager" in their title are treated as disposable/throwaways. *HR or Senior Level Management need to find better qualified new hires. These new hires have caused a lot of people head-aches and we need to spend more time to fix mistakes. Please find people with real experience! They look good on paper - but lack accountability or knowledge!
