Pros
Decent benefits Generous PTO policy OK salary Solid, profitable company
Cons
Absolutely no flexibility with schedule - the company president reviews the time clock records (you would think he would have more important things to do - he must not be that busy) and if you're 1 minute late you get reprimanded or are supposed to take a 1/2 day PTO (which still has to be approved). When you have small children and your spouse works it's virtually impossible not to be 1 minute late occasionally. Management culture is one of "fear and intimidation." Line managers have virtually no power to do anything - all decisions have to come from higher management. Annual salary increases are small - the smallest of any company I've worked for. My spouse's company's annual salary increases are 1.5-2 times higher than mine across the board. Little to no opportunity for career advancement.
