Pros

Market-Leading Product: I found that selling CrowdStrike's Falcon platform was easier because it's already a top product in cybersecurity. I didn't have to convince people of its value since its reputation often preceded it, which led to shorter sales cycles and higher close rates. Strong Compensation: The compensation plan was great. I had a strong base salary and uncapped commissions, which meant as a high-performer, I could earn a significant income. Career Growth: I saw that the company really does promote from within. There were clear paths for me to advance my career, whether it was into management, a different territory, or a more specialized sales position.

Cons

High-Pressure Environment: The sales culture at CrowdStrike was very competitive. The quotas were challenging, and there was a constant focus on performance. If I didn't consistently hit my targets, the environment felt incredibly stressful and challenging. Market Saturation: Even though CrowdStrike is a leader, I faced a lot of intense competition. The cybersecurity market is very crowded, which made prospecting and closing deals a significant challenge.

Pros

Was happy to join the company for its innovation and cool EDR product. Company as a whole is enjoying public money through stocks. Investors are happy seeing the money and growth.

Cons

But, quickly I learned that this is a company only for those who can survive the politics. Very rich and strong product heads and old timers unwilling to change and adapt. Some still think this as a startup which can survive the long game. Absolutely no process and completely hierarchical. If the head of the PG says something, that becomes the priority and the roadmap. People do get burned out due to extreme pressure - customer issues, outages and even some meaningless escalations. Some of those acquired companies are full of BS. Those were done just for the hype and stock market push. Remember - many of the companies which are breached cannot say in public that they were using the CRWD products because of legal contracts. Security is like insurance. People can mark you non-compliant for not having it.
