Lack of Clear Strategy, Frequent Organizational Changes
Pros
- Work Life Balance: Partners do a good job of considering work life balance of team when taking on new projects. - Flexibility: Ability to work remotely as needed. - Culture: Relaxed office culture (jeans everyday) with humble people
Cons
- Lack of Clear Strategy: Strategic direction of healthcare practice changed frequently, and partners often contradicted one another when asked about strategy. If you are not aware of the goal, it is difficult to achieve it. - Frequent Organizational Changes: In my tenure, the organizational chart changed on average once every six months. Communication of new roles and responsibilities with the latest org chart was lacking. The current organizational chart essentially removed individual partner sales goals, which I expect to negatively impact sales growth. - Rewarding Performance: Management values compliance and those who are happy to do exactly as they say. Attempting to improve current processes or respectfully challenge the status quo is often considered insubordination. Leadership roles were given to employees that complied with management. Bonuses were incredibly low and did not fluctuate with performance. - Heavy Reliance on Dated Technology: Healthcare is heavily centered around a technology that has not been rebuilt in over ten years.
