Pros

Travel- Many diverse people- Good opportunity to start your career with. Dont stay too retire with.

Cons

Pay- well below national index. Family life is not truly valued any longer in Crowley. There used to be many benefits for the Employees and their families. Now all efforts go into hiring kids without families, and donating all money and employees "Volunteer" to charities for tax write offs. The "Family" of Crowley died with Tom Senior.

Pros

Excellent benefits and employee programs. Pay is OK, about average for the industry. A very interesting and diverisfied industry in which to work. Some opportunity for growth and a chance to move into other areas of the company. For the most part, people are nice to work with.

Cons

Lack of a clear vision of overall strategy and where the company is headed. Senior leadership is aloof and not very accessible to the rank & file; however, they think otherwise. In most cases they seem clueless as to what is actually going own within their area of responsibility Very political....everyone talks the party line saying what the the leadership team wants to hear, but unwilling to challenge decisions from the top. Not really a sense of team across the corportate services, operations and sales/marketing management teams. You get the sense that people are just trying to stay low and not lose their jobs. Lack of good processes & technology makes doing one's job difficult. With a few exceptions, not a very innovative/progressive company. However, this might be the nature of the industry.
