Pros

Fun office environment; Cool and interesting people; Enthusiastic teams; hip branding that makes the office and the website look cool; recently acquired by Warner Media so may gain more support; amazing fans

Cons

Terrible communication in teams and between teams; Lots of long emails with ideas but no resolution; No ownership and lots of turfing and shirking of projects and responsibilities; Poor executive leadership; Lots of cliques; Limited To no vision or strategy especially now that the company has been acquired; everyone at this company is extremely overworked and has too much on their plate; no formal process in place; everything is a frenzied free for all; reporting structures make no sense and key projects are understaffed, underfunded or supported by Volunteers who come and go as they please or as projects interest them; recruiters are charming and quick talking know how to show you what they want you to see but once you start working here you’ll see the truth which is a bunch of smoke and mirrors; employees want rewards and kudos when they haven’t done much or really have just done what they’re supposed to do based on their role; rampant bullying; persistent question of who is really in charge and who’s direction should we be following (Warner? AT&T? Otter?)

Awful Onboarding, Poorly Trained Employees

Pros

Some snacks and drinks in the office, some variations for catered lunch. Free VRV subscription.

Cons

Toxic work environment and worst onboarding I have ever experienced. The person wasn't prepared, didn't know what she was doing, and had the worst attitude the entire time. Why show up to work if you act like you hate your job and you hate people. As the first person I interact with on my first day, I immediately regretted accepting the position. There is no support during your first few months at this company and when you ping People Ops, they don't know the answer and never get back to you. The managers are promoted into positions they don't have the experience for and poorly manage team members. If anything happens, there are no consequences and no worker protection.

Nepotism and bullying cosplaying as leadership

Pros

Coworkers are friendly and passionate about anime.

Cons

Like every other review here stating the obvious, this company’s biggest issue and detriment is its leadership. Management consistently hires friends into VP roles, regardless of qualifications, and it shows! These “leaders” run teams through intimidation rather than strategy, making demands with no data or facts to support them. Instead of fostering collaboration and growth, they create a culture where people are expected to obey, not contribute. Talented employees are overlooked while unqualified favorites are promoted, leaving morale at rock bottom. If you’re looking for a workplace where merit, innovation, and respect matter don’t bother here.
