Pros

I’ve been really impressed with my first 120 days with Crunchyroll. The dynamic nature of the environment has certainly kept me engaged and has offered quite a few opportunities for learning and growth already. During this period, I have witnessed a significant evolution in the company's goal-setting and OKR process, resulting in super clear communication regarding priorities and the overarching direction of the organization. The senior leadership's dedication can be felt for sure, driving forward a clear mission, and fostering a sense of optimism throughout the company about the path ahead. My team is strong, one of the best I've worked with in a long time. Very smart, creative, super hard working. Their intelligence, creativity, and dedication are inspiring and I look forward to working with them each day.

Cons

I wouldn't say it's a con, it's going to be important for the senior team to continue to prioritize and help their teams stay super focused because we have super ambitious goals ahead.

Pros

We are growing and there is so much to build and make better. The company and management is supportive and I get to make decisions and run projects in my own. I can't imagine a better place to learn and grow. Oh and there is anime playing the the office all the time!

Cons

There have been a lot of changes but I love the direction thing are headed.

Pros

Great office and location. Some great coworkers still remain but most have either been fired or pushed out.

Cons

There is a culture of fear that has become the norm at the company, which is why no one is challenging senior leadership and their strategic decisions. More incompetent VPs and directors are being hired at levels that should be Senior Managers at most, but are put in these positions because they come from other streaming services with very different operation models. It's common for employees to resort to quitting due to clashes with senior leadership, and even when those leaders are named in their escalations to HR nothing is done to keep them accountable. The only way to surface "anonymous" feedback in All Staff company meetings is to non-anonymously send feedback through an admin. Despite numerous requests in the past 2 years to go back to truly anonymous feedback the company has dug its heels and refused so feedback in public forums is sanitized.
