      Great place to work. But not perfect.

      Pros

      • Forward thinking business philosophy. • Great people. • Autonomy to accomplish tasks. • Benefits and office perks are great. • Company doesn't coddle the engineering team, unlike many Bay Area employers.

      Cons

      • Recent churn in engineering. Company is transitioning a large portion of its engineering team to a recently acquired operation in Moldova. • Layoffs could have been handled better - they were presented as purely a redundancy issue - in fact, quite a few were for performance and culture issues. Witness many of the complaints on this site. No one likes to be told weren't good at their job, or that they stirred the pot too often.

      Department wise perspective 1. Marketing : top powerful and influential team head of the dept is very close to top management; CEO's favorite group; Very smart folks; So join this group if you want to live pressure free protected job 2. Engineering / Product / Design: head of the dept is trying his best to get the team what it needs to succeed amazing product challenges to solve technical needs and opportunities at the moment are great if you are an engineer who likes taking incredible tech problems and solve it, you should consider joining here 3. People Ops / HR: one of the best teams in terms of providing support and being compassionate w situations head of the dept is highly professional and trustable from HR standpoint small team that helps drive multiple things; really cool people in the company 4. Business teams: highly passionate groups who wants to do the right thing sometimes that creates healthy friction w engineering great opportunity if you are interested in video content business areas

      Cons

      This is an amazing opportunity if you want to be part of interesting and intriguing problems. Good potential to grow. Only caveat is - you need to have patience and ability to focus, otherwise you will fall out very quickly
