Pros

- Working on cutting edge products that get directly in the hands of consumers, that people actually care about. - Get to work and partner with some of the coolest companies on the planet - Healthy work life and FUN balance while you are at work -- everyone really cares about this being a good place to work - There has been a lot of positive change over a short time period as it relates to talent, organization and new initiatives - A lot of freedom and autonomy to work on things that you care about - Cool consumer challenges to solve - Really good-hearted people and no real politics or overbearing process/corp structure

Cons

- Company has changed a lot over the last few years, which always causes some friction between the old guard and the new - The culture checks all the boxes of a cool SF Tech company but is still struggling to have a real unified feel -- most teams have there own sub-cultures - With growth there have been new initiatives, that are very exciting, but have taken longer than one would like to get to full speed - Not everyone has the same quality bar as it relates to output

Pros

- Hires a lot of the right people and builds great teams - A strong company culture that is growing and bringing more people into it - A proven business model that is only getting stronger - Takes care of it's people with no real hierarchal issues to speak of

Cons

- Could use some more clear processes to help new employees navigate better. The fast growth of the company (which is great) is part of the reason for this need.

Pros

Work-life balance, though there are plenty of positions where this does not seem to be the case. Right on a BART exit, too! Great food 4 days a week, and dinner if you stay late. Interesting subject matter and interesting problems to solve.

Cons

Concentration of power - the actual decision making stops once you get five desks away from Tom's, though this has gotten much much better in the last six months, specifically in engineering. HR is terrifying - a retaliatory fire seems more likely than any positive resolution for problems brought up outside of anonymous forms (which themselves are routinely ignored and/or not addressed). There's only a single woman in leadership.
