Pros

We have amazing health insurance. Also, most of the dept. heads, and csm's are amazing, hardworking people. They are the ones who keep the store running.

Cons

Poor management, hostile work environment, low morale. Issues of employees are not handled in a timely manner. It is just not a good environment to be working in.

Pros

Great benefits, good pension, decent hourly pay, union jobs

Cons

Poor management Unfair treatment toward employees (example: one employee has a no-call no-show and is not reprimanded. The other is suspended for one day without pay. (Both had good records up until that point). The store I worked for had morning meetings in which all employees were supposed to be welcome. One morning I was told I was no longer welcome because I had more work to do than other employees & that I really didn't need to be there. The manager that told me that received a slap on the wrist. Clock watching- one minute late is late! No positive reinforcement. Negative comments flow freely.

Pros

It's a pretty flexible job. I can get time off when I need to, and I like the people that work in my department.

Cons

I feel that I am treated like I am a child. I am not given the feedback needed to improve my performance. Recently, there have been some instances where workers have said inappropriate things to their co-workers that were ignored by management. Those in management often make people feel too uncomfortable to discuss issues that they are having.
