Pros

Curriculum Associates is a great place to work. As an Ed Tech company, they prioritize educators and students. It is awesome to enter every meeting and work space with students and teachers being the forefront of conversation. Everyone I have worked with is knowledgeable, humble, welcoming, and collaborative. I also feel like CA allows me to prioritize my needs and the needs of my family by encouraging a healthy work-life balance with great benefits and a generous leave policy. This has made being a new mother so much less stressful than in roles prior to joining the CA team!

Cons

For someone coming from the classroom or a school-based position, it can be difficult at first to transfer into the Ed Tech sector. For me, it was hard to not be in a school with kids. But again, working for a company that is so focused on students and teachers helps a lot! I no longer miss working in a school building but instead feel really proud about how my work contributes to better classroom experiences for kids!
