Pros

- Great and consistent mission with kids and teachers at the forefront. - Company hires great people. The top thing that keeps employees here besides the mission is our teammates. - Manageable workload and flexibility.

Cons

- Effectively outsourcing jobs, leading to lower feeling of job security and valuing loyalty. - Once-exceptional culture has declined due to growth, globalization, and economic/political conditions. The environment feels more corporate. Internal company events have declined. Executives are less in touch and decisions take much longer. Lately, there has been increased frequency of executive turnover and reorganization. - More focus on growth than in the past, which has impacted employee experience and apparently necessitated layoffs. I feel the influence of investors has changed the way decisions are approached to be less focused on the company’s original values. - Capitulation to political pressures and culture war issues. - Compensation tends to be a little low.
