Pros

I've been at CA for over 3 years now and my opinion on them hasn't changed much. From the first day everyone was kind and supportive. Everyone really cares about the educators we serve. I am not as customer facing as other roles but there's this general consensus that we should go above and beyond for them as much as possible. Working with educators is really nice, most of them are excellent people. People at CA are also nice and respectful. The culture and working environment overall is far from toxic. The CEO cares and tries hard to take care of this company, our mission, and the employees. We had the first layoffs ever in the decades long history of the company and I can tell the CEO and other leaders at the company were disappointed to have to make the decision. They gave everyone that got laid off a generous severance package, and assistance in resume writing and other ways to support. The benefit package is generous. Health insurance with BCBS, childcare, petcare, flexible vacation (I already took 2 weeks this year and will be taking one or two more weeks off). They also have mental health support within the company. After the pandemic they let us stay home and work remotely, but we can visit the offices whenever we want. Personally, I benefited greatly from working here. Not just professionally but personally also. That has been my personal experience working in the service team.

Cons

I suppose compensation could be higher but I feel all the benefits and the company culture outweigh that. Most of the company is fully remote now, including my role, which is great! Some teams have a very busy season during the summer time so we are not able to take time off during this time.

Pros

Today is my last day at Curriculum Associates, having worked for the company since 1979. During those 43 years, I have had the pleasure of working on challenging projects that kept me engaged and informed about the latest technologies and educational trends. Most importantly, I’ve had the satisfaction of knowing that the programs I helped to create had a positive impact on millions of students. The company’s biggest asset, though, is its workers. CA attracts smart, hardworking, and compassionate people. I’ve been lucky to work with creative colleagues who are dedicated to producing exemplary material for students and teachers.

Cons

No cons come to mind.
