Pros

10% off all product excluding apple ones, vouchers first deals on clearance items, Airport environment allows you to meet people of all kinds of life, occasionally bump into a celebrity. Good number of annual leave days allowance. Stable company

Cons

I worked there for a good number of years, the shift work is very unsociable, you have to chase managers down whenever you request an annual leave. The push from managers for KPIs over genuine customer service, your forced to ask for boarding pass info form passengers even know its not required by law. You almost feel like your just a number when working there. Your trained to sell everything you can to customers even when they refuse, e.g selling a 64gb camera memory card for a small camera (for pictures only), iv heard sales colleagues say to customers that a 64gb card will hold about 700 pictures when in fact is over 3000 pics. I As for career path and promotions its terrible, only a few pennies increase or £1 to your hourly rate quarterly on if you hit targets as an individual. There really isn't any steps to take if you would like to move from shop floor to head office. If you have a degree this job really isn't for you as you can make good use of your qualifications elsewhere, maybe part time or weekends the average colleague there as been there for 7 years. Taking an annual leave for sales or team leader colleagues means basic pay no commission. Once I found a better jobs I left and would never go back. The years flew by working there how I managed to stay there this long il never know.
