Pros

Bais company with bais recruitment always throw valuable candidates out of the window will drop any valid candidates by discriminating their CV’s and will hire any tramp who dosent have a CV or experience and can’t get to the site on time. Their recruitment is very shady annd make you think theyre wrongdoing which they do under a shadow, the only way you can get into the company if you sleep with the manager or from senior management when the company will go bankrupt soon. they go for tramps who can’t speak English properly and has a bizzare background. Additionally the job itself you don’t do nothing you just there for decoration and just representing a company that will soon go bankrupt. 9/10 times most of the item you can just buy from the internet for cheaper and get better deals unless your daft in the head

Cons

Management extremely truly bais, backwards and discriminatory and hire tramps with no technical ability or knowledge. The same ones don’t have no even a CV or able to write a CV or a cover letter

Toxic, inexperienced and bullying management

Pros

Some (not all) supportive colleagues, a few good gems but management favourites as toxic as management.

Cons

Always pushing you to work more hours and penalising you if you can't Take on young staff and bully them assuming they don't know their rights. Consistently give their favourite staff the best shifts. Serious lack of training from management, very toxic culture. No motivational, encouraging management. No acknowledgement from management when you go above and beyond it do a good job. Not enough staff so expect too much out of each individual Inappropriate behaviour by staff and managers which is never addressed properly. Managers don't know how to deal with it and if they try they break confidentiality rules. Tell staff they have to work on certain days as part of their contract even though it's not their agreed days so you have to drop college, uni or whatever. Want you to work all over Christmas and new year with only Christmas day off. Curry's should take boxing day off like many other good retailers It's retail so some of this is expected but due to lack of enough staff you are expected to work all of it. Would seriously discourage anyone under 19 to apply. Make sure you get a copy of your contract at time, read it carefully before signing so you know your rights as they will tell you anything. HR very slow to respond to queries.

As a retail business, it’s very important that we are there when our customers need us to be and our colleagues will need to work shift patterns that are best for our customers and reflect trading patterns. We have invested in and continue to invest heavily in staff training and compliance to transform the business over next couple of years, every colleague has access to our online e-learning. Our company encourages an open and honest working environment between line managers and colleagues and we encourage all our colleagues to have an open and honest conversation with their line manager to solve any concerns. In addition to this, we provide all colleagues with access to our confidential colleague helpline for times when it’s not easy to have a particular conversation with your line manager. Thanks, the team at Currys.
