Pros

Benefits are good, friendly people, great office space (when it was in use), certain roles allow for good work life balance and flexibility with the schedule

Cons

Eroding culture, lack of upward mobility opportunities especially in customer facing roles, muddled messaging on the future plans for the company, lack of investing in salary for team members with tenure

Ignore The Hype

Pros

- Co-workers are generally quite kind. - Health/Dental benefits. - Casual work environment.

Cons

- The company spends an incredible amount of time promoting how "great" a place it is to work at, but the story they sell doesn't correspond with actually working there. - Employees are given ample days of paid leave, but are not allowed to use them most of the year due to "busy season." I lost many days of time off due to this policy. - Pay is well below living standards in most areas and employees are responsible for using the "MOD" system to report when a co-worker makes a mistake. These MODs decrease the co-workers paycheck. Employees are scolded by supervisors if they do not MOD their co-workers which creates a hostile work environment. - While the offices do have games and break rooms, individual productivity is tracked down to the minute, so employees lose pay if they chose to take a break and use the game room or attend any of the events that the company loves to advertise such as cornhole tournaments. - If you are a college educated 20 something creative type, you will be disappointed working for any of the art departments as the positions are very much production jobs (essentially working on a factory line screwing on toothpaste lids).

Growing Pains

Pros

Casual work environment, great employee benefits, cool people, free lunch on Thursdays, free snacks all the time, and a nice office.

Cons

Does not cover insurance for spouses — big disappointment. With all the growing in recent years there have been some major growing pains. Some teams have been overlooked. There have been gaps in leadership. Promises of change that take way too long to come to fruition. Rather than developing people from within, they have opted to hire people outside. There has been lots of horizontal growth and not enough vertical growth. Pay is a major issue for certain roles. Pay might be on par for national averages but is way below considering cost of living for some of CustomInk locations.
