      Love Custom Ink!!

      Pros

      I worked at Custom Ink for 9+ years, and was an Account Manager for the last 5+ years. Custom Ink was an amazing company to work for. That's what kept me there for so long. They care about their employees and do right by us. The only reason I left was to seek further opportunities.

      Cons

      The only down side to Custom Ink, and I shared this often internally, was their core value of innovation. Custom Ink was in a constant state of change. In some cases it was good and needed. In others it was change for the sake of change, and they often went back on the changes they made. I think it would benefit the company and employees to pull back on change for the sake of change.

      Technologically behind

      Pros

      I have had a good time working here as a full time employee. The work is pretty straight forward and they let you listen to music while working too. The culture is shifting currently, so I can't say what it will be like in a month or two.

      Cons

      The technology is archaic. Our processes and tech have needed a severe redo for a while now, and it seems that they're just now experimenting with them.

      Transparency, Candor and Authenticity

      Pros

      Company leaders are very honest and transparent--they lay out our company's goals, performance and headwinds in a very clear and concise manner. The encourage us to be honest in our feedback and expect us to receive feedback in kind. I've never (in all my years) been afraid to speak up and offer my opinion/feedback on anything.

      Cons

      This is a company, for profit. Company's don't do everything YOU want them to do and that's OK. Some times they decide to go in a direction that folks don't like and I understand that as well. Ultimately this is a growing company--has been as long as I've been here--and there are a lot of growing pains that come with that.
