Competitive Salary is a lie

Pros

None - some health benefits

Cons

Salary is so low that it's not worth your time. There are other alternatives for work environments that are healthier, better work-life balance, and transparency in their policies. Cvent has been shady starting with their contracts, internal communications, policies, and just simply put a total farse. I really don't recommend this company to anyone. Sadly, I am roped in due to a non compete and training clause that gouges you for $7500+ if you leave before your 2-year mark. I find Cvent "appearances" are worth more to them than their actual employees. And they continue to have so much turnover that over 50% of their employee base is new.

Awful

Pros

Direct manager was great no complaints.

Cons

- Do you enjoy internal meetings? If so, there are 10-15 hours per week (Out of a 45 hour work week) that are required. Best of luck hitting your goals when you're on countless internal meetings and trainings - Pay is WELL below industry standard and workload is untenable. (Mostly due to convoluted systems and processes) - They sell you on OTE which is comical. Book a multi-year, hope you enjoy $20-$40 per booking maximum. (Half after tax) - Projections are all the senior managers care about. Fine, but why include projections in Salesforce and an excel document? Double work, is glorified. - Senior management loves to hear themselves talk - Antiquated systems for a SaaS company

Pros

Other than good benefits, really nothing since it's gone remote.

Cons

The pay is a joke and the "uncapped" commission is a scam. You make a few bucks an upsell, and that's literally it. They don't even tell you what the commission is until you're six weeks into the job, which by then you have to pay back your $4k bonus if you leave within 2 years - because, and yes this is true- you have to pay them back for teaching you sales techniques and how to use their 10-year-old Salesforce platform. The most disgusting part is that the CEO parks his Bentley front and center while everyone else drives their 2004 Camry's because they can't afford anything else. Turnover is high and when people leave, they celebrate.
