Pros
1. New hires on the HR/People team have helped get the company up to date on more competitive aspects like - Enforcing the use of PTO (making sure people take time off to avoid burn out) - Developing employee satisfaction surveys for each quarter - Implementing regular employee reviews - Starting and facilitating new Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) - Providing management training to current managers and leaders within the org - More... 2. This company is very conducive to people just starting careers, and those who are specialists in their fields or are managers. 3. Amazing people to work with! Because the company is very selective with who they hire (based on culture and team fit), but are also very inclusive with diversity in mind, you get to work with people in different states, from different backgrounds, experiences, and everything. 4. Continually focused on getting people to connect. Teams do their own events, and sometimes the company will put on an event for the entire staff to get together and become a tighter knit team. Lots of positive elements about working here, but it really is a personal choice if those outweigh any actual or perceived Cons. There's good and bad elements to every job and company, but it's important to know which are most important to you, and what's worth staying or leaving for.
Cons
1. No 401K matching 2. Provide "imputed salary" but never mentioned when it started or what it was for. Also, was having this added even though I was working from home most of last year - not sure what was being accounted for during that time. 3. Management doesn't always listen to requests made for team members, especially with matters of larger "strategy decisions", some managers/executive leaders are quick to dismiss ideas or put them on the back-burner as low priority which leads them to never getting done. 4. While conducive to people just starting careers, or those who are specialists/managers, people in the middle often get looked over or burdened with the busy work. It's easy for people to make fast impact when they first start, but it can stagnate quickly depending on the manager you have and the team you're on. There are lots of cons, but every company has them. The importance of each aspect to you is what will make or break you/your decision to work here or leave.
