      The company has plenty of smart capable engineers who have a wealth of experience and have been asked to pivot a lot to align with changing management asks.

      Engineers and designers at Cyanogen - THUMBS UP! Seriously, you guys are awesome. For the onlookers: If you see an application from a recent/current engineer/designer (NOT from management) from Cyanogen for a relevant role at your company, cut short their interview process and you won't regret it. If you are thinking of joining this company yourself, remember - there are much easier ways in this world to feel doomed.

      Cons

      Cyanogen is a classic example of how a promising startup could go wrong when you let incompetent people drive the leadership. I wouldn't be surprised if this company is remembered as Google's most unsuccessful self-proclaimed competitor ever.
