Pros

Abundance of education. Terminology is taught for real workplace setting. Trainers are very knowledgeable and insightful. They provide real life scenarios and give you their own experiences which I found very helpful. A lot training goes into this before you do it on your own, they make sure you are prepared to do your job. You gain so much experience before you even hit the floor.

Cons

Pay is low, decent if anything. Needs to be more competitive with other interpreting companies. Call center environment, chatty and typical. Keep to negative comments to yourself and avoid building interpersonal relationships that are not work related.

Pros

You get to work with people from all around the world, is fun to share different cultures and food ! Management has a positive view and encourages us interpreters to learn more and succeed feeling good about what we do. There are projects to participate in besides interpreting, once you have shown great performance and your desire to develop. You can take planned - time off if you need to on the very first month you start working, You don't have to wait 1 year for your vacation like other places. They have cover parking, they provide food to everyone once a month as a recognition and the company bonuses are given to the top performers. Free insurance to the employee (with a high deductible) but it's free every month. Opportunities to develop within to higher positions and good pay are available.

Cons

Schedules are fixed for 6 months once you accept it at hiring. Super Strict rules in attendance and punctuality. Professional attire is required. It feels like a corp office not a call center. Working holidays is like a lottery unless you plan ahead your time off. Be ready for changes, the company is growing and you just need to adjust.
