Pros

There are people there who do want to make a good product. I very much enjoyed working with the various teams, product leads, and cross-functional folks below director level.

Cons

Directors and above do not know what they are doing. There are frequent (as in at least once every 2-week sprint) large course corrections. Everyone in leadership is terrified of telling certain influential people that they're wrong so development goes in a very stilted direction that doesn't support KPIs or user need or even what would be most profitable. The way to succeed at DAT is make friends with the right people, specifically the C-Suite. If you don't do that you'll either be laid off or completely ignored.

Great people, cool products, flexible work schedules

Cons

Went through a period of leadership turnover, which I believe led to instability/lack of clarity in product/engineering. New leadership is doing a good job, hopefully they stay.

The people at DAT are all hard working individuals.

Cons

Leadership has created a culture of fear so people are afraid to suggest better ways to do things for fear of “losing” customers. Few company holidays compared to other tech companies. No DEI groups. Employees seem to be expected to work during off hours, and on PTO. Senior management will lay-off staff in order to make “numbers”.
