Pros
People-centric- This company really cares about and values their employees, clients, and communities. It's all about building strong relationships here, not just about business transactions or the bottom line. Part of this has to do with the fact that it's a company grounded in Native Hawaiian cultural values like aloha. It feels like everyone is part of one big ohana (family). Good balance of growth & established structure - I've worked at bigger companies before where the company gets so big, it starts to get sleepy and bureaucratic and loses its ability to be nimble and move quickly on new ideas and opportunities. I've also worked at startups with the freedom to pursue new ideas quickly but with limited resources and people wearing too many hats. Even as the company has grown, DAWSON has found that rare sweet spot where it combines the nimbleness of a startup with the stability and resources of an established organization. Best of both worlds! Remote-Friendly Workplace - With employees in multiple states, they've got great systems and structure in place to ensure that remote teams are productive and efficient. Great compensation + benefits- Some of the best benefits I've had at any company I've ever worked for, including 401K match & Costco membership
Cons
Having proper resourcing can be an issue as the company grows, but that's true of all growing companies. There have been a few organizational changes over the past couple years, but they've all been extremely positive!
