Pros

Technically stimulated, but at an immense human cost.

Cons

Be prepared to work most weekends without compensation, plus very late nights, as the standard expectation. Management publicly states they value personal time, but this is a complete manipulation—the reality is the exact opposite. The official messaging from DDN is a lie. Please take out from Glassdoor that lie ! The burnout is real and I'm not alone in feeling this way. Many colleagues share this frustration.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your time at DDN is not positive. That is never the outcome we want for anyone on our team. DDN operates in a very technically demanding environment, and while periods of intense effort can occur, working excessive hours or weekends as a standard expectation is not our intent, policy or practice. We take concerns around workload, burnout, and work-life balance very seriously, Our focus is on prioritizing and providing resources that will continue to drive our AI Market leadership and accelerate best in class customer solutions. We appreciate the honesty in this review and thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We encourage employees to raise concerns through internal channels so they can be addressed directly, constructively and timely.

Pros

Decent salary, Office food and perks (transport etc.)

Cons

Higher management has bad attitude, they'll hire you for one position. The project might get downsized for business reasons. You'll be put in a project that does'nt match your skillset, Yet you'll have to meet un-resonable deadlines. Either your health suffers, or you are fired. Cant see how can anyone stay for long duration. Its more of a problem for technical folks (developers). Managers can survive by blindly following orders of overseas supervisors.

Pros

They make the fastest storage devices, but lack the AI software stack, which is critical when competing with the likes of Vast Data. Many nice people at the company, but outside the Sales Org

Cons

Where to start: total lack of training. Everything is via video recordings. Onboarding was shockingly broken. I realized very quickly after joining that there is massive turnover in sales, with many of my predecessors leaving for Vast Data, who is the undisputed leader in the category. A few sales reps do really well, covering franchise accounts. But be careful joining DDN to cover new accounts. The brand recognition is non-existent. And the Sales Leadership only knows finger-pointing. They will pester you for meetings from the first week you join. Expectations were completely unreasonable. Having strong ecosystem partners is key (especially with GSIs), and DDN didn't bother with partners since its founding in 1998.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you recognized our strengths in high-performance storage and the positive interactions you had with many team members. We also take your concerns seriously. We are actively improving our onboarding and training processes to provide more structured support for new hires, especially within Sales. We have expanded our AI software capabilities, strengthened our partner ecosystem and have seen great strides in brand awareness to be competitive in the market. We understand the importance of setting clear expectations and fostering a supportive, collaborative sales culture. Your comments on leadership communication and market brand awareness are valuable and will be shared with the leadership team.
