Pros

The large size and reputation of DHL gives clout when dealing with carriers, there are many resources available for teleconferencing, on-line training and respect for co-workers and staff is concscientiously observed.

Cons

The focus is too often on secondary concerns and following correct protocol while ignoring major issues; the tracking website is not user (or customer) friendly, internet connections slow, IT help evenly slower and these issues are discussed endlessly but not resolved.. Reports sometimes replace action and resolution. Management seems top heavy and often require issues to be summarized, reported, and typically fixing a problem is done by requiring more from operations rather than system improvments.

Pros

Small office, closeness like family with most of the employees

Cons

Managment does not listen to ligitimate claims on others improfessional behaviors, such as stealing company time, spending hours on personal calls, coming in whenever they want. It seems supervisors get all the fringe benifits/ no way to move up anywhere / dead end job Overtime is expected without getting paid for it

Pros

There are lots of training opportunities on line

Cons

Management is the major downside. All opportunities for advancement are taken by management. They keep climbing up the corporate ladder while the desk level employees wonder if they are going to be laid off every Friday. The management ratio to desk level is approximately 2 mgmnt to 1 desk level. There is absolutely no respect for anyone, no one cares about each other, it's every man for themselves.
