      Good opportunity for students

      Pros

      Very good job for students who want to earn some money during the semester breaks. Usually very friendly and willing-to-help colleagues. No office job, but instead working outside most of the time. And depending on where you work, the people usually have a very good opinion about mailman making the job a lot of fun.

      Cons

      "Fun" strongly dependent on weather. Also working hours VERY dependent on your own speed as well as amount of incoming mail. During mail-heavy times - e.g. elections - job gets really stressful. Also the day starts very early, usually at around 6. Not for people who don't mind getting up very early. Also not for people who don't like to interact with people. Students also usually don't get paid overtime.

      DHL Freight UK is despised by the parent company DP DHL. Cutbacks to this part of the company within the UK has resulted in low educated upper management which results in short-sighted views and an even shorter future plan for anyone that joins... Go to DHL Express.
