Pros

The healthcare and 401k benefits are very good. A decent healthcare and dental plan costs about $11 a week, and adding my family was not expensive. You are immediately vested into the companies 401K program with a 4% company match. The people I work with are nice and there is minimal drama. The management is friendly.

Cons

There is nothing worse than working as hard as you can and it still not being good enough. There is not a person in this company who does not work massive amounts of overtime. If you like to work in an environment where you get praise for a job well done, this is probably not the company for you. The workload and expectations are very high, with very minimal pay.

Pros

Prior to sale: respect, recognition, consideration, rewards, ethical, professional, a team atmosphere and a pretty successful company. After being sold the company doesn't measure up in these areas. Decisions were made & communicated effectively and quickly, authority was pushed down to low levels.

Cons

New owner arbitrarily decided our annual bonus should be limited - right at the time of payout. and with no explanation. Lack of respect, micro-managed, numerous hurdles added which prohibit getting the work done. Decisions made far above and "why's" not explained. Layers of management added. Unclear objectives. A "do as you're told" atmosphere. Most ld-line Power people pushed out the door.

Pros

There is a decent amount of vacation time handed out and management is usually good about granting requests. The payout bonuses are nice, and if you are a universal employee that can run different kinds of equipment it seems to be easier to get better payouts.

Cons

The unfortunate experience of working here is upper management. If your going through a tough time and your production is affected for a month expect to hear rumors of being fired. When your performance numbers are great and your the leading production employee in the building expect to hear about cheating the system. There seems to be lots of favortism involved with promotions and therefore there are many people in positions of power that in fact should not have any power at all. The unfortunate downside is that these kind of things affect employee morale directly. There is no praise what so ever when an employee is doing well and the flipside is that if your not doing well you will most definetly be terminated. This is a company that seems to have the wrong people in the wrong positions and is currently heading down the path to no longer existing in the next 10 years if they continue the direction they are heading in. They have already lost many major accounts in my area and there will be more to go in the next few years.
