A foot in the door for IT support while you work on other things or finish school.

Cons

-its a technician/ moving man job, not a technology job, -Extremely limited room for progression. Most of the people with better positions are lifers so positions rarely open up and when they do you will get low balled. -Must use your own vehicle to move hospital equipment around(theres alot of moving). All others teams have department vehicles. -Bottom of the barrel in the organization. other IT teams will get luncheons and special events and the service desk gets muffins. -The reward for good efficient work, is more work.

-Great benefits -Expanding hospital system -Opportunity to learn (you may not receive a title boost or pay raise, but you will gain a plethora of experience) -The people (DHR has some of the most amazing, hardworking people I’ve ever met)

-Burnout -Use of PTO for holidays -Politics -Stagnation/Pigeonholing (you’ll learn a great deal, but it may not be relevant to your career goals or interests)
