Pros

I liked the fun environment and the fact that I got to work with sports equipment, specifically golf clubs. For the most part it was always a very positive environment especially when our head manager was there. He was one of those guys who you took seriously but also enjoyed working for. Pretty decent employee discount and I enjoyed working most of the time.

Cons

The store I worked for was very unorganized and I could tell so right from the start when I came in on 3 separate occasions to start my training to find out they had failed to even enter me into the system yet. If you need time off you better request it electronically 4 times and leave multiple paper requests on your bosses' desk months in advance because of going back to how unorganized they were. If they put you on the schedule then you were basically stuck working that shift. It was also a zoo before corporate visits because managers and department leads failed to keep the store at company standards so you would end up staying until 3 am the night before a visit to make up for the simple lack of attention to detail prior. Im not sure if this is all retail stores but working as an associate, basically all we did was reorganize the store. It felt like every single week we got sent a new template on how the section should look and we had to tear the whole thing down and redo it.
