Pros
Pro #1: Opportunities for advancement and trying new things. I'm someone that enjoys having a new challenge every couple of years, but I am also someone that likes to stay at the same employer once I find one I am passionate about their mission --- DISCO supports me in finding new challenges in new positions. Since being at DISCO I've been promoted twice and have been lucky to have supportive managers and exec sponsors.
Pro #2: Talented and helpful colleagues. I'm constantly learning from my colleagues and inspired by them.
Pro #3: Understanding managers. Life happens, and they get it. They understand that employees are humans and are extremely supportive when you need a break, time off to deal with family and kids, etc. They truly support a work-life balance: it isn't just saying they say, but actually provide.
Pro #4: Amazing products and services so I truly believe in what the company is doing and I know I am making an impact! I actually get to wake up everyday passionate about what I do. That is not easy to find.
Cons
Things move fast and change quickly - it is exciting and challenging to keep up! But it means things are never boring.
