Global vs

Pros

A global law firm with many talented lawyers across the world and a centralized support organisation (marketing, business development, HR, IT) to support and align activities.

Cons

From a local office perspective, the centralized support organisation is understaffed and is not in touch with local markets and business needs. Management should focus more on branding, external communications and employer branding - globally as well as locally.

Pros

Great people, great canteen, training courses opportunities

Cons

awful pay for paralegals with no career progression. DLA constantly recruit externally and not internally - therefore do not value their internal employees and give them nothing to work towards.
