Plenty of opportunities for advancement and no shortage of work opportunities

Cons

Management style is antiquated. Information control is very strict, manages tend to share only what is required of you to do a job. It doesn't allow you to be proactive. Productivity and collaboration software is also lacking. Plenty of people work long hours and get work done but efficiency would go way up with a tech overhaul

-Some nice partners and most others are generally nice -Sophisticated clients and interesting work -Ample pro bono opportunities and the firm really encourages participation

Cons

-Very long hours, hard to take any time off (including weekends and holidays) -Some partners can be difficult to work for -While they try to match market comp, some budget decisions are surprisingly strict. For example, you get one computer monitor and if you want a second one there is a waitlist (why can't a new monitor just be ordered if there aren't enough??). Very vague/outdated meal reimbursement policy that basically nobody uses
