      Good project variety but flawed leadership and ownership model

      Pros

      Good US practice breadth. Some sectors have good projects.

      Cons

      Hypocritical leadership. Their commitment to sustainability and equity is for optics rather than genuine care. The firm makes a super majority of revenue from justice work, including for private for profit detention facilities, including ICE facilities. The employee ownership model is flawed as the firm has to continue to grow to payout shares from people retiring or leaving, which feels like such a Ponzi scheme.

      Toxic culture in Dallas office overshadows company strengths

      Pros

      DLR Group overall is a good company to work for. However, I’ve noticed that some office locations—particularly those that were part of firms acquired by DLR Group—have experienced a significant shift in workplace dynamics and not for the better.

      Cons

      DLR Group as a whole is a solid company to work for. However, the Dallas office has developed a toxic work environment that seems to stem from leadership and trickles down through the rest of the team. The culture feels more like a popularity contest than a collaborative workplace, which has created division among employees. This has already had a noticeable impact on retention, with six people leaving the office in just the past month alone.
