Pros

The projects are interesting and should be challenging. The Principal Architects are very experienced and accomplished. The studio is downtown so all the city's options are available for dining and recreation after work.

Cons

The nodded tears are wrought with petty politics and back stabbing. There is an above average amount of dead weight in the studio ranks. Parking every day downtown is expensive. The drive in and out is perilous. The starting pay is poor to low. You nearly move from behind your computer. Stress is high and help is on YouTube.

Pros

Great community of design professionals. Everyone below senior staff is insanely talented and great to be around.

Cons

Low pay, high expectations. Most employees are below the national average salary rage for their years of experience and skill level/title. Work-life balance is only attainable in some sectors, but often expected to work over 50-60 hours a week on average, which makes cultivating a full life outside of work very challenging.
