Pros

Interesting technical work. Diversified work force. Downtown location.

Cons

Technical company with too few technical people and way too many MBAs with little to do. Promotions and raises are not merit based but depend on who you know and your relations to those people and not on what you know and how you do it. Very political atmosphere with cheer leaders but no real business leadership.

Pros

bonuses for csr's on Turn-On/Disconnect team, ability to make a difference with customers, co-workers are great, ability to move up in the company, cafeteria is awesome

Cons

care more about handle time than actual customer service, favoritism, lazy supervisors, you are treated like a 5 year old with superiors always over your head, quality assurance is very petty and will knock down your scores for saying things like "that" instead of "service"...MANDATORY OVERTIME that makes it hard for you to have life or take care of child care issues

Great culture, but Storm Duty is silly

Pros

Higher-level managers will take time from their day to come talk to you Teams work well together Good pay and benefits Very flexible with your time and needs

Cons

Every time a few drops of rain falls, 50,000 people are out of power. They fix it very quickly, but everyone who is not an engineer or repair crew is eligible for Storm Duty, which is essentially putting on a hard hat and standing by a downed power line to make sure no people go near it until a repair person shows up. Even if you are making $100k a year, you still have to go out like a crossing guard.
